Fundraising has long been a black box—fragmented, opaque, and inefficient. As founders that raised $120m for our first startup, we ended up spending months stitching together spreadsheets of information and chasing investors that just weren’t the right fit for us.

Somewhere along the journey of our first startup, we realized that the inefficiencies of the fundraising process were ultimately holding back thousands of startups from achieving their potential. With the right software, our vision is to make the raise process simple, intuitive and efficient.

Somewhere along the journey of raising $120m for our first startup,we got so annoyed with the inefficiencies of the fundraising process that we decided to solve that. With the right software, our vision is to make the raise process simple, intuitive and efficient.

To achieve our vision, we are assembling a best-in-class team that shares our ambition to build the rails of the venture capital industry. 🚀

By 2030, our ambition is to build the rails of the venture capital industry, providing founders with the intelligence and the networks they need to raise venture rounds.

In the first phase, Metal is bringing super intelligence to founders that are actively raising venture rounds. Our definition of super intelligence is simple -- a form of intelligence that easily surpasses the best human minds in our specific domain.

In the second phase, Metal will focus on democratising access to venture capital (beyond the traditional high-context corridors). Specifically, we believe venture capital needs to gravitate toward founders that are the best builders, and not necessarily ones that have the right context.

Most parts of our business are in a transitory phase, including our pricing, our value proposition, and the nature of our customer relationships. To achieve the above ambition, we are building a one-of-a-kind team of passionate teammates that share our ambition to build the rails of the VC industry.

There are two fundamentally different ways of looking at work.

The first one is the traditional perspective, the way we have historically looked at jobs and professional careers. In this world, work is something you do to make money, so that you can afford the life you want to live. Things like work-life balance and effort-to-reward ratio are important concepts in this world.

The second one is a new way of looking at work, one that enables us to author our own destiny. In this world, work is less about the monetary reward, and more about enabling ourselves to push the limits of our capabilities. Work then becomes a way to realise our potential, to make the most out of the adventure of life.



Metal provides a platform for people looking to realise their potential. We work hard (though we don’t encourage teammates to work on weekends).
